Empires newsletter - 4th October 2002
Hello and welcome to the first October
newsletter. How time flies! I've been here around
five fun months now.
have a few interesting bits and pieces to tell you
this week that you may not have seen on our site.

The second dev diary entry went up on Friday, you
can read it here.
In the second diary entry we talk to Trevor and look
at how he took the monkey empire building model sheets
from the first diary entry and turned them into 3D
objects to go into the game world.
Our limerick competition is proving very
popular, thanks to everyone who is taking part! If
you haven't entered yet then follow

The competition will end on the 16th and we'll announce
the winner in the next newsletter.
September has been a great month and October looks
to be just as interesting. A lot of assets have been
completed, both code and graphical and it is fun to
see it all come together. The server was completely
rebuilt to improve it and with much of that code complete
we again have a somewhat playable build. Furthermore,
new character models are well on their way and you
should see some images of them in the next newsletter!
