Dragon Empires Newsletter - 4 June

With E3 behind us we're again looking to the future. The build shown at E3 is being further tweaked for Beta1 release and we are continuing to add more features, quests and monsters to the world. Based on feedback from E3 and the forums and ideas of our own we have some nice development surprises coming up in the next few weeks. I'm forbidden to tell you more right now but look forward to everyone's reaction and I will bring you news on these developments as soon as I can!

Dev News - Sound
The sound team have been hard at work creating detailed and interesting sounds for the game. Not only does music play at appropriate times (at dawn, for example), but the sound of your and monster's footsteps change depending on the surface you are on and what you are wearing. This combined with the ambient sounds, the sounds of combat and of monsters and the roar of the wind and crash of thunder adds another layer to our already rich environment. Keep an ear open for a sound competition in the next newsletter!
